JEAN ROBÉRT is an Owner and Founder of Risk Management Services, L.L.C., and related entities Rms Claims & Risk Services, L.L.C., and RMS Texas, L.L.C., (RMS) began providing workers’ compensation third party administrative services to independent self insured employers and group self insurance funds in 1994. Jean has accumulated more than 30 years experience working with Workers’ Compensation self insurance programs and self insured employers. He is involved in all aspects of managing workers compensation programs to include Underwriting, Marketing, Claims Administration, Loss Prevention, and Excess Insurance as well as coordinating rate filings with the Louisiana Department of Insurance and the Department of Labor. Jean also acts as the liaison between RMS and the self-insured program’s Board and administrators to implement the policies and procedures that govern the workers’ compensation program operation. Jean specializes in helping to transition employers to self-insured status and in creating new group self-insurance programs. Prior to starting RMS, Jean was a Regional Marketing Director for a third party administrator of workers’ compensation programs. In this capacity he was responsible for marketing, underwriting and sales for five self insurance funds in a three-state area, including the program sponsored by the Louisiana Nursing Home Association which began in 1989. In April 2016 RMS purchased a long term third party administrator based in Oklahoma city, picking up contracts with Oklahoma Electric Co-op, Comp Risk Management, City of Ardmore and BancFirst along with many others. Today, RMS’ Louisiana clients include a number of self insured employers as well as the Louisiana Health Care Self Insurance Fund and the Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association Self-Insurers’ Trust Fund. Jean is active in helping to shape Louisiana Workers’ Compensation legislation.

Albert E. Roevens. Jr. is the Chief Financial Officer of Risk Management Services, L.L.C., and related entities RMS Claims & Risk Services, L.L.C., and RMS Texas, L.L.C., (RMS). In his role as CFO, Al is in charge of all financial operations of RMS, including: internal accounting controls, compliance with accounting principles, regulations, Federal and State statutes. Since joining RMS in September of 2004 as CFO, he has been involved in policy and statute consultation for the Worker’s Compensation industry, including the authoring of Louisiana Revised Statutes on Worker’s Compensation regulations and consulting regarding Internal Revenue Service matters for Property and Casualty Insurance filers. Previous to joining RMS, Al began his career with the international accounting firm of KPMG and later founded the accounting firm of Perron, Decuers & Roevens, (PDR) where he was the managing partner. During his tenure with PDR he was heavily involved in assisting financially distressed companies in Bankruptcy reorganization or working for Bankruptcy Trustees on corporate liquidations. Al has qualified as an expert in Accounting and Forensic Accounting in United States Bankruptcy Court on three separate cases and was appointed the Certified Public Accountant for a Debtor in Possession by the Bankruptcy Court. In addition to his Bankruptcy work, Al has performed forensic accounting engagements, performed damage computations and business valuations. Al also served for 16 years on the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants Accounting and Auditing Committee, 3 years as Chairman of the committee.
